What should I expect at an in-home photo session?

Please allow at least 1 hour for us to set up our studio in your home. We may ask to move some furniture/tables in order to accommodate the equipment. During the set-up time, we will get acquainted with you and your pets, to ensure everyone is comfortable before we begin. (back to top of page)

How long will the session take?

We ask that you block out at least 3 hours of time to allow set-up & tear-down of equipment, as well as playtime or rest time between shots if needed. (back to top of page)

How do you get my pet to pose?

We use treats, noisemakers, a favorite toy, silly voices, etc. to get your pet’s attention and capture their unique personality. (back to top of page)

What should I do to prepare my pet for the photo session?

You should have your pet groomed beforehand, if required. It also helps if you play with them before the shoot starts to burn off extra energy. Slightly tired and hungry works better with getting your pets to pose and respond to treats (but please - not famished, hot & dog-tired!) (back to top of page)

What if my pet misbehaves or won’t perform for the camera?

Every effort will be made to make it a positive session. However, if your pet simply won’t cooperate, we may need to reschedule the shoot. (back to top of page)

What if my pet is afraid of strangers or the equipment?

We will consult with you before the photo session, and also interact with both you and your pet to make this as stress-free and fun as possible. Any special needs will be taken into account. Please be sure to advise us if your pet has ever bitten or become aggressive with strangers. (back to top of page)

Can multiple pets, pet parents or other humans be in the photos too?

Yes! Our specialty is studio quality portraiture of families with pets, pet-parents with pets, and pets only. We customize our sessions to your individual wants & needs based on information gathered in our initial consultations with you.

Can we get our files on disc?

Our studio policy is not to release high resolution images in digital format. We contract with professional labs that print your images to the highest of standards on photographic paper for longevity and true color reproduction. We will be happy to email you a multimedia slideshow of images from your photo session that you can share with family and friends on social media websites. (back to top of page)

When do I get to see my pictures?

A link to your photo gallery will be emailed to you within 1 week and you may view/order online as well as share the link with friends and family. (back to top of page)

How long do I have to order portraits?

Your gallery can be viewed online for 45 days so that you or your friends/family members can place as many orders as you like during that time. Please keep in mind that shipping charges will apply to each order. (back to top of page)

What if I want to order after my gallery is no longer online?
